| My current research topics and interests; |
|
| 1) | @The historical study concerning the interrelations between bio-medical science and the different images of human body throughout history.
How did we picture the human body? I'm focusing on three different periods in history, when we experienced drastic change in the intellect of the medical field and the circumstances surrounding medicine.
Firstly, in the 16th and 17th century, the image of the human body changed drastically in the western intellectual culture due to huge shifts in scientific and religious thinking.
Secondary, in the mid -19th century, western medicine system were adopted in Japan and drastic changes were made to the Japanese medical system.
Thirdly, from the second half of 20th century to the present, bio-medical science rapidly developed and medical ethics had a huge international impact on the method of active medical care and the medical workers' attitude towards their patients.
|
| 2) | @The historical study about the process of the formation of the medical professions in modern era Japan
In modern era Japan, we experienced dynamic changes of the medical system several times. Through the historical research of the process of the formation of various medical professions in modern era Japan, we can find solutions to problems of the present age.
|
| 3) | @The educational research on the medical humanity for medical students
What is emeaningfulfmedical humanity for today's young medical students?
In Japan, medical students enter the medical department after graduation from high school. What kind of education should we give to the young students to help them become good doctors? We can only understand what a emeaningfulfmedical humanity is by joining our young students as they experience interactions with patients in the field.
