How to get a Japanese Medical Doctor's License in Japan
There are two patterns by which a Foreign Medical Doctor who graduates from a medical school in a Foreign Country can get a Japanese Medical Doctor's License in Japan.

Pattern A
Those who are accepted after submitting their application and have Japanese language ability are eligible to take the National Board of Medical Doctors Examination (NBME): the protocol is as follows:- ① Application
- ② Assessment of Japanese medical treatment ability
- ③ Preliminary NBME
- ④ NBME
Pattern B
- Those who are accepted after submitting their application are eligible to take the Preliminary NBME.
- After they pass the preliminary examination, they need to complete over 1 year of training for medical treatment and public hygiene.
- Then, they are eligible to take the NBME. The protocol is as follows:

- ② Preliminary NBME
- ③ Over 1 year of training for medical treatment and public hygiene
- ④ NBME
