Regeneration and Reconstruction of the Human Body

In cooperation with our basic research departments, we aim to provide human resources to contribute to the development of regenerative and reconstructive medical science.

1.Improvement of quality of life and rehabilitation of functions

By researching the functions of organs from both the clinical and basic research perspectives we can develop new restorative methods to treat problems of organ failures.

2.Developing new surgical and non-surgical treatment methods

By examining the clinical and theoretical research aspects of surgical treatment we can develop new surgical methods. Furthermore, by using such means as cellular therapy, endoscopy and radiation treatment, we can develop new non-surgical methods of treatment.

3.Developing new diagnostic methods

By using biological, mechanical and engineering techniques, we can develop new structural and functional diagnostic methods.

4.Research in organ transplantation and artificial organs

By research in organ transplantation and artificial organs, using clinical and theoretical research, we can improve the quality and safety of treatments involving artificial organs and organ transplants and can deepen our understanding of the fundamental functioning of the organs.

5.Molecular biological approach to malignant and benign diseases

By using molecular biological techniques to analyze genetic disorders that occur in malignant diseases, we can clarify the mechanisms that govern the outbreak and movement of cancers.

6.Regeneration of organs, body structures, and cells

By researching the ways in which organs and body structures recover from attack, we can shed light on the regenerative functions of the human body. Furthermore, by researching the regeneration of cells and organs we can discover new methods of medical treatment.
