“This past summer, in 2008, two of the most senior doctors in Shanghai both recommended for an operation to secure the testicles in place since Luke is already 9 years old. As a mother, I asked for a well known international doctor for a second opinion. Shanghai children's medical center recommended for us to talk to Dr. Yamataka at Tokyo's Juntendo hospital…….
We were very well received by the staff at Juntendo hospital. Dr. Yamataka and his medical team helped us greatly to pass the hospital registration process and we were able to get the test necessary for Dr. Yamataka to make a decision.
Dr. Yamataka is very personal, careful and detail orientated. Immediately we feel that we are in the control of very capable hands. He firmly recommended that an operation is not necessary at the moment because Luke's testicle is not doing any harm to impact the other parts of the body.
We as parents feel Dr. Yama is an outstanding doctor not only because of his professional knowledge, but also his well roundedness in taking care of the sick kids and in proper communications to the parents. We are very satisfied with his explanations and every step he took in helping us understanding of Luke's medical condition.
Our trip to Japan turned out to be a vacation rather than an operation. We had time to visit other cities in Japan and we feel that if we ever need help, Dr. Yamataka is the best choice for Luke.” Danielle from Shanghai.
