The Juntendo Medical Society has implemented various activities, together with Juntendo Medical Journal established in 1875, to “promote medical research, encourage members of the society to improve their knowledge, and contribute to advances in medicine”. There are approximately 2,700 members including academic staff, alumni, clinical residents, graduate students, research students of the Juntendo University Faculty/Graduate School of Medicine, people of other Faculty/Graduate School, and people outside the university.

Juntendo Medical Journal, the oldest medical journal in Japan, is now published for readers across the world: the journal was selected for inclusion in PMC, an archive of biomedical and life science journal literature at the U.S. NIH/NLM, and has been indexed in Scopus.

The Society’s principal activities are as follows:
  1. Publication of the “Juntendo Medical Journal”
  1. Management of Triannual Meetings of the Juntendo Medical Society
  2. Management of Juntendo University’s open lectures: Health Topics for Tokyoites.

Along with the progress of Juntendo University, the Juntendo Medical Society has been involved in medical research and social activities.  We will continue to contribute to the advances in medicine for people’s health.
